Gatefold cover is gorgeous in both build quality and artwork, not surprised considering this is a HANL release. The coke bottle articulate with black splatter reminds me of mint chocolate chip water ice cream- and as well looks splendid. A bit of dishing on my copy, but honestly that's the only kind of warping that I'll accept- easily fixed past a tape weight. Sounded kinda noisy on outset listen- first I attributed it to being a GZ pressing, but after some persistence and multiple deep wet cleans, I've removed almost all of the debris that must've been causing the surface noise and at present it'south almost flawless. Very deep, layered and rich sound on this one. Not the widest soundstage, but this album wasn't recorded that manner- and I love it the way information technology is. Great level of particular on this pressing for an album that has a lot of distorted shoegaze and "lo-fi" elements in information technology (although this is HANL'south most polished and studio-esque piece of work yet- at that place'south still a skillful amount of that classic HANL bear on from their offset two LPs in at that place). Honestly- my biggest gripe with this pressing is that it's a bit on the quiet side. Awesome work from HANL- and definitely one of the all-time post-punk albums that has come out in recent years.
This is one of the best records in my collection in terms of quality, the sleeve feels glossy, non cheap cardboard, the inner sleeves are good ones, not cheap white paper sleeves, the record itself sounds and looks fantastic, this is the best looking ane among variants in my opinion, also fits the artwork, no clicks, no pops, mastering and mixing is on betoken, information technology'southward one of those records where y'all can distinguish every instrument clearly, bass is on point, specially in Dracula Bells, this album is a very different record if we think it from Deathconsciousness, and less dark in comparing from The Unnatural World, but lyrics still have that unique and gloomy feeling, less angst, less depress, more "worry" actually, worry nearly future, life, the path we choosed, time running, remembering we're not eternal, anxiety, lots. It's a unique anthology, and that makes it perfect, they could literraly make another Unnatural World or Deathconsciousness and we would beloved it, but they decided doing something new, and god, is incredible, every song is great, non a single complain, favs definitely are Dracula Bells, Science Beat out and Destinos, please, gives this one a listen, simply every bit a new thing, don't await another Deathconsciousness or TUW, a must have for HANL fans, only great.
400 on the on the milky clear with lots of white splatter, non 300.
My copy has a lot of surface racket and popping. Anyone else fare any ameliorate?
